A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE CLUB:
Basingstoke Golf Club has over 700 members and celebrated its centenary year in 2007.
The current course was designed and built by James Braid in 1928 and officially opened by James Braid, Harry Vardon and Miss Molly Gourlay on a cold, wet and windy March day.
The course provides a challenging examination of your golf skills, yet is fair and playable for golfers of all abilities. The greens staff present the course to a high standard throughout the year for both members and visitors to enjoy.
The present Clubhouse was opened in 1998 and offers a relaxed, modern atmosphere in tune with the needs of all visitors to the club. The staff offer a warm welcome and our catering is regarded as one of the best in the region. When you next visit make sure you take time to sample the Clubhouse – you will not be disappointed.
